Silverstein Houston Concert reviews
Awesome Show
A great setlist featuring both old and new songs, along with a few surprises not played live by Silverstein in a long time, was one of the highlights of the gig. The stage show was visually stunning, but I can't help but feel sorry for the poor folks who had to clean up all the ticker-tape after the performance! One of my favorite moments was when Silverstein performed Crazy, Crazy Nights; it's a song that holds a special place in my heart as it was how I first discovered the band in the eighties. Silverstein always impress with their opening acts, from the memorable Danger Danger back in '92 to the bands on this current tour. The Envy was particularly impressive, prompting me to buy a T-shirt and eagerly await their upcoming album. The Academy Is put on a great show, though I was slightly disappointed they didn't play some of my favorite tracks like About A Girl - still, I ended up purchasing a T-shirt from them. Silverstein remains a truly special band to have maintained such greatness over 35 years. Hopefully, they continue to include gems like Crazy, Crazy Nights in their setlist and maybe even revisit tracks from Hot In The Shade and Revenge. Wow, what an awesome gig!
